At the visible end of the process this includes reuse and recycling.
But once every reusable element of waste has been stripped out there can still be components remaining.
For this non-recyclable material Pulse uses waste to energy – where the waste is incinerated at high temperatures producing clean and renewable electricity and reducing the need for landfill.
Every tonne of non-recyclable waste can generate 600kWh of energy.
